Press Release Summary: Corel Academy, a partnership between Chennai based, BMD
Skillmakers Pvt Ltd and Corel Corporation Inc., Canada, organized a two day
inter-school Corel Painting/Drawing contest on February 23rd and 24th in Chennai.
The winners were awarded at a special function organized at Presidency club on
February 28th. A number of schools across the city including PSBB, Chettinad
Vidyashram, Ashram, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, AMM Matriculation and Asan Memorial
participated in the event. The contest was held under three age group categories:
6-8 years, 9-11 years and 12-14 years and the entries were assessed by an eminent
jury panel

Chennai based, BMD Skillmakers Pvt Ltd and Corel Corporation Inc., Canada, organized

Adhiveera Pandian- Faculty, College of Fine Arts and Craft, Arun, MD, Digi Dot and
Sharad Haksar, CEO, 1 Point Size. V. Sathish - Territory Manager Corel India,
distributed Corel International Certificates and Shri. Madhukar MD, DL Creations
gave away the prizes respectively to the designers and the winners of the contest.

S. Baskar, CEO, BMD Skillmakers Pvt Ltd and Authorized Training Partner, Corel
Academy said "The vibrant designs, the confident depiction of the topic and
remarkable composition seen in these paintings and drawings reflect a clear
understanding of the subject in the minds of these young children and it is up to us
to hone these skills in a creative manner. The main objective to conduct such
competitions is to impart drawing/painting skills at a young age, which has been a
key requirement for many organizations. We are also introducing Corel Painter and
Corel Draw Training in schools through such contests."
